Volunteer Badges

  • In order to earn a badge all you have to do is:

    1. Consent to badges and recognition in your profile (Profile & Settings).
    2. Perform volunteer work and record the hours on the new IBM Volunteering & Giving Portal.
    3. Once you reach the number of hours required to earn a badge, select IBMer Dashboard to start the badge process. Once you have done that, you will receive an email with the necessary steps to accept your badge.
  • Only current IBM employees and IBM retirees are eligible to earn badges.

  • Once you have accepted your badge, it will take approximately one (1) business day to receive your badge.

  • You will need to perform and record (see question 1) the following number of hours to be eligible for these badges:

    • Bronze: 100 hours
    • Silver: 250 hours
    • Gold: 500 hours
    • Platinum: 4,000 hours

Note: These are hours recorded for all time and are not limited to the current year.
