Reigniting Small Business from IBM is a new program that combines the talent and technology of IBM with the expertise and reach of small business-focused nonprofits and industry partners to help small business owners and entrepreneurs become more competitive in the post-pandemic marketplace and to revitalize local economies.

Reigniting Small Business from IBM provides guidance and insights to help small business owners adapt their digital, entrepreneurial and strategic skills through:

• Webinars to enhance a business owner’s expertise in business strategy, digital strategy, financial management, and legal education.
• Coaching from an IBM or partner expert who can share their advice and provide personalized guidance.
• Other resources and valuable information to help small business owners adapt their business and prevail.

IBM began Reigniting Small Business from IBM in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The resulting economic disruption has especially challenged small business owners and entrepreneurs in underrepresented populations to work differently if they are to continue to thrive. Businesses need to be able to respond with agility and resiliency, as well as utilize more virtualization of services and remote working. 

Non-profits, industry partners, and other organizations that serve small businesses are also eager to help their beneficiaries relaunch their business plans to thrive in today's economy.  Reigniting Small Business from IBM taps the talent and technology of IBM and its partners to help small business owners continue to effectively run their businesses, even during these difficult times.

All small businesses can benefit from the resources available through this program, but our target audience is small business owners and entrepreneurs in underrepresented populations and through our partnerships we aim to engage primarily with representatives of those organizations. 

In 2021, Reigniting Small Business from IBM is targeted to reach 10,000 small business owners in 5 countries, thanks in part to the efforts of 1,000 IBM volunteers. 

Reigniting Small Business from IBM combines the talent and technology of IBM and the expertise, resources and reach of our partners to have a long-lasting impact on small businesses and their communities. 

IBM will monitor the Reigniting Small Business from IBM program to ensure that it’s helping small businesses and their communities through these tough economic times. 

You don't need a technical background to join the program.  Through IBM and our partners, you may receive training, coaching and access to other resources that can help you adapt your business and prevail.

The dynamics of doing business have changed drastically over the last year, and we believe it’s important to continue to gain new skills to help your business thrive. You can explore our webinars, which run the gamut from digital and business strategy to financial management and legal education.  You can also take advantage of one-on-one coaching with an IBM or partner expert who can share their advice and provide personalized guidance for your business.  And we've also provided easy access to resources from our partners in such areas as gaining access to capital, additional education resources, and U.S. federal programs.

There is no fee to participate in Reigniting Small Business from IBM.
